Saylor Bleu needed something to do! on this snowy day.
She opened her own "Bleutique".
We started with business cards from
"Big Daddy Designs" a.k.a "Dad" he did a great job.
Using Gimp and some card stock.
We started with a lamp shade like the one you see
in the picture. I cut the lamp shade off of the ring and
used a staple gun to attach it to the old console table that
I had stored in our basement. I took an old piece of barnwood
from the "Old Barn" that my father is tearing down on my
childhood property in Northern California. I then painted a tiny
shoe and the name of the "Pretend" boutique. We actually
changed the name after I had painted the sign:( It is now
called the "Bleutique" after my daughter's middle name. I
attached some satin ribbon and a brooch I found at a flea
market. We put the other lamp shade over a dress form
to give it the look of a very hip lamp. We accessorized the
boutique counter with different items from her room and
the house. We pulled out jeans, bathing suits, sweaters and
tights from her dresser and diplayed them in her room.
I had some tissue paper and some bags from previous
shopping trips of my own. Saylor Bleu had such a great day
selling to her family in her very own "Bleutique"
The cute skirt she is wearing is actually mine, she had
a few wardrobe changes that day. She wore the skirt as
a tube dress and then paired it with a tank top later.
